When you want to quickly take a note in Notion, don't you sometimes find it a bit of a hassle to open Notion, open the page you want to take a note on, and press the "Create new" button?

This time, we will introduce "Instant Notion," a Notion-compatible app that allows you to send notes instantly!

1. What is Instant Notion?

This time, I would like to introduce an app called "Instant Notion" (Notion Instant note).

By linking the app with Notion, you can quickly send notes to Notion.

There are other similar apps, but what makes this app unique is that you can select tags.

When you send a note, you can also select tags, so the note will be saved in Notion with the tags attached.

Select a tag in the app → The note will be saved with the tag in Notion

This is a very useful feature if you categorize tasks, notes, etc. using tags.

There is also a paid version, which has many more convenient features.

💡 What you can do with the paid version

Date properties can be selected

Add widgets to the home screen and lock screen

The paid version is available in two options: a yearly subscription plan for ¥2,200 or a one-time purchase for ¥3,890 (as of February 2024).

2. Set it up

Let's get started with "Instant Notion" (Notion Instant note)! First, let's show you how to set it up.

1. Get " Instant Notion " (Notion Instant note) from the App store
*The official app name is "Notion Instant note."
2. Tap "Let's get started"

3. Tap "Yes, connect."
4. Log in with your Google account

You are now logged in to the app.

Next, we will link Notion with the app.

5. On the access permission screen, tap "Select page"
6. Search for the database you want to note and check all of them (multiple selections are possible)
*Please note that you cannot take notes unless you select a database instead of a page.

Next, set up a database to store your notes.

7. When the memo screen appears, tap the database name in the upper left and tap "Edit Database"
8. Select "Active Database" and choose the database you want to save your notes to.
*If the database you want to save has already been selected, you can leave it as is.

Follow this procedure if you want to change the database you are using to take notes.

3. Save your notes

Once you're set up, try sending your notes to Notion!

1. Enter the note you want to save in Notion on the note screen.
2. If the property has tags, select them here
3. Tap "Save"

Your note has now been sent to Notion.

If you look at the database in Notion, you'll see that the note has been saved as shown below, with the tags you selected.

You can only write the title of the note, but it seems like it would be quite useful for saving tasks and quick notes.
