How to instantly save notes in Notion.

When you want to quickly jot down a note in Notion, do you ever find it a bit tedious to open Notion, then open the page for your notes, and then click the new entry button?

This time, we'll introduce "Instant Notion," an app that integrates with Notion and lets you send notes in an instant!

1. What is Instant Notion?

The app we're introducing today is called "Instant Notion" (Notion Instant Note).

By linking the app with Notion, you can quickly send notes to Notion.

While there are other similar apps, this app's distinguishing feature is the ability to select tags.

You can select tags when sending notes, allowing you to save notes to Notion with tags already attached.

This is a very helpful feature if you categorize tasks or notes using tags.

There's also a paid version with many more convenient features.

The paid version offers two options: an annual subscription for ¥2,200 or a one-time purchase for ¥3,890 (as of February 2024).

2. Let's set it up

Let's try using "Instant Notion" (Notion Instant Note) right away! First, we'll explain how to set it up.

1. Get "Instant Notion" (Notion Instant Note) from the App Store.
*The official app name is "Notion Instant Note."
2. Tap "Get Started"

3. Tap "Yes, connect"
4. Log in with your Google account

The app login is now complete.

Next, we will link Notion with the app.

5. On the access permission screen, tap "Select pages"
6. Search for the database where you want to take notes and check all of them (multiple selections possible)
*Note that you must select a database, not a page, to be able to take notes.

Next, set the database where notes will be saved.

7. When the memo screen appears, tap the database name in the top left and then tap "Edit database"
8. Select "Active database" and choose the database where you want to save notes.
*If the desired database is already selected, you can leave it as is.

You can follow these steps to change the database for your notes.

3. Save your notes

Once set up, let's try sending notes to Notion!

1. Enter the note you want to save to Notion on the memo screen.
2. If there are tags in the properties, select them here.
3. Tap "Save".

Your note has now been sent to Notion.

If you look at the destination database in Notion, you'll see the note saved there. The selected tags are also correctly attached.

While you can only write notes in the title, it seems quite useful for saving tasks and quick notes.
