1. New Features in Notion Calendar 2025

Notion Calendar is constantly adding new features.

This time, we'll introduce the new features of Notion Calendar as of December 2025.

The right sidebar can now be hidden!

Here's the most exciting update for Notion Calendar users.

Finally, you can now hide the right side panel! 🎉

Previously, it was always displayed, which took up space on the calendar, especially when splitting the screen into two. Now, you can choose to hide it, allowing you to use the calendar more widely.

You can toggle the display of the sidebar on and off using the panel mark on the far right.

This is being reflected gradually, so if you haven't seen it yet, please wait a little longer.

Popover for adding tasks and changing their properties

Clicking on a database in the sidebar now displays a popover listing its pages.

If you use Notion for task management, you can connect your Notion calendar to add tasks and change their properties from here.

You can also group and filter to display the results however you like.

There are still only a limited number of items that can be controlled from the Notion calendar, but it would be great if the number of options continued to increase in the future.

Integration is now possible from other views besides the calendar view

Until now, linking from Notion to Notion Calendar was only possible from the Calendar view, but now it's possible to link from other views as well.

In every view, a button called "Manage by Calendar" has been added to the settings icon in the upper right corner of the database.

Not only does it eliminate the need to forcefully create a calendar view, but it also reflects settings such as filters on Notion's side, so it's great that you can carry over the settings of the database you normally use.

Properties can now be entered or changed from the right sidebar

This was a recent update, but now when you click on a Notion task in your Notion calendar, you can enter and view its properties in the right-hand sidebar.

If you use Notion for task management, you may be able to complete it all on the Notion calendar.

Notion's task management template "Todotion" can also be used more conveniently by integrating it with the Notion calendar.

If you want to start managing your tasks with Notion, be sure to check it out!

2. Recommended ways to use the Notion calendar

Here are some recommended ways to use the Notion calendar:

The update has made it useful for more than just task management, so if you find something that catches your eye, be sure to give it a try.

Enter and check your diary entries from the Notion calendar

By linking your diary database to your Notion calendar, you can display your daily diary entries on your Notion calendar.

Additionally, by storing all your diary entries in a property, you can write your diary for the day from the sidebar on the right.

This directly links your daily life to the Notion diary template, so if you're interested, be sure to check it out.

Link meeting minutes

With Notion Calendar, you can link the events you create to Notion pages.

For example, click on a meeting schedule and create a minutes page from the right sidebar.

This will create a page in the specified database, and you can then navigate to that page.

If you embed AI meeting note or instruction record templates into the page, you can create meeting minutes in an instant.

You can configure where the minutes page will be created in Notion.

You can set this by opening your workspace name in the upper left corner of Notion, then Settings, and then under Notion AI, under "Default meeting minutes database."

View your project schedule alongside your tasks

If you have a database for managing projects, you can link it to your Notion calendar to display your project schedule.

This is a benefit unique to Notion, as you cannot display things created in a spreadsheet on Google Calendar.

With the Notion Calendar, you can manage your project schedule and tasks at the same time.

This concludes our introduction to Notion Calendar's latest new features for 2025 and some useful usage examples!

If you haven't been able to make much use of it, please take this opportunity to give it a try.
