1. Keep a diary

There are many different diary apps available these days, but you can actually keep a diary in Notion just like with other diary apps.

You can make a diary like this!

The key point of diaries created with Notion is that they are highly customizable and can be arranged to your liking .

for example

  • Track your sleep quality
  • Add happiness level
  • Attach a photo from the day
  • Manage your habits and to-dos together

It is characterized by the fact that almost anything you wish you could do can be made to come true.

2. Collect your favorite things

Next, I'd like to introduce one way to enjoy Notion: using it to organize the things you like .

If you could create a page filled with only the things you like, it would be fun just to look at it!

For example, you can create a page like this:

A list of your favorite stores

You can also use it to organize your favorite books and games, your favorite gadgets, and so on , and it seems like it can be applied to a variety of hobbies.

We have introduced these two ways of using it in previous articles, so please read them if you're interested!

3. Keep a household budget

Do you keep a household account book? Recently, there have been many household account book apps released, but they can be a little inconvenient, with limitations on the number of items you can add and the hassle of having to take photos of receipts.

In fact, Notion has a wide range of functions, so you can easily calculate total amounts and percentages of budget, as shown here.

You can also freely create items and change the appearance to your liking , so you can create a household account book that suits you.

You can also create monthly items and have them calculated automatically.

4. Use it as a study notebook

Study notes can be difficult to carry around, and they tend to pile up before you know it. We recommend using Notion as a replacement for such notebooks.

You can basically take notes just like on paper, and you can add headings and highlight notes like this. If you're taking online classes, another convenient feature is that you can paste screenshots directly onto the screen.

You can also link your study schedule with your notes and categorize them by genre , making it easy to organize notes that tend to get scattered around.

Separate notes by genre

This is a recommended method for university students, as well as working adults attending online schools and those studying for qualifications.

In a previous article, we introduced how to use it as a study planner and study notebook , so please feel free to take a look!

5. Project Management

So far, we've mostly looked at personal uses of Notion, but I also recommend using it in work situations.

Of these, the one it's best suited to is project management . Notion's Gantt chart function is very easy to use, and you can change the period just by moving the bar left or right, and you can also reuse it as a template , making it easy to manage progress.

You can create a Gantt chart like this.

Notion also allows you to share pages with others, so you can share pages with project members and collaborate on editing them at the same time .

Please try using Notion in your work!
