Why I created a household chore distribution chart using Notion.

Sharing household chores can be difficult to bring up and it can be hard to decide... Sometimes, even if you decide to divide the chores, it can be hard to follow through.

My partner and I started living together a while ago, and when we started living together we created a household chore distribution chart using Notion, and our lives have run so smoothly!

I thought, "I want to share this with everyone..." so I'd like to explain it in detail along with how to use it!

How to make a household chore distribution chart.

Now, let's take a look at the contents of the page and how we actually decided how to divide up household chores .

The top section is a chart showing the division of household chores .

You can see at a glance what you and your girlfriend will do and when, as well as what you will do together.

Below is a table to use when deciding who will do what . We actually used this table to decide who would do the household chores!

This is how we decided on our division of labor.

1. Identify household chores and write them down in titles
2. Decide when to do the chore
3. Add a level of difficulty
4. You and your girlfriend check off the household chores you are good at.
5. Decide who will do it

If you use the last template we will introduce, all you have to do is decide from the left side of the table , so it is very simple and easy.

Once you decide on the allocation using this table, the allocation table above will automatically be created.

This is where Notion came in handy.

Finally, I'd like to introduce some of the points I found useful when creating a household chore distribution chart using Notion.

1. You can share it with your partner and look back on it anytime.

The most convenient thing about Notion is that you can share pages, so you can see what you've created together .

Because Notion is open so often, it's easy to look back and review your work. When you can look back easily, you can also realize that you haven't been able to do anything recently.

I created a home page for my girlfriend using Notion and have put a link to this page there.

2. You can have fun deciding how to divide up household chores.

At first, it can be difficult to bring up the topic of dividing up household chores and it can be hard to decide.

But with such a cute page, wouldn't it be fun to decide? It's also fun because it's not made with paper or a whiteboard!

If you show this page to your partner, they will surely be excited...lol

3. It's easy to change the division of labor.

Even after deciding on a division of household chores and trying it for a while, there are times when you decide you want to change it.

With Notion's board view, you can easily change the responsibilities of a task by simply moving the chore you want to change.

If you want to add a chore, just click "+" and add it, it's that easy!
