Hello! I'm Rei, an official Notion ambassador.
December is here, and it's the travel season with Christmas and the New Year holidays. How do you plan your trips?
This time, we'll show you how to plan your trip with Notion .
I'll be introducing the travel guide I made when I actually traveled, along with instructions on how to use it!
This is definitely recommended for people who say, " I find it a pain to make plans, so I always travel spontaneously... " or " I take notes on my iPhone or LINE, but it's a bit inconvenient... "
This time we will explain this template in detail, so please read to the end!

Why I planned my trip with Notion.
Do you make detailed plans when you travel?
Planning a trip is fun because you have to find places to go and things to eat, but the details like the schedule and the order in which to go can be a bit of a hassle ...
Also, there are times when there are so many places I want to go, but when I actually travel, I can't go to any of them.
I wondered if there was an easy way to decide on such a complicated schedule and an efficient way to get around, so I decided to try planning my trip using Notion .
It was very easy to create a schedule because we could easily organize the areas and genres of places we wanted to go to and we could make plans together even remotely .
I actually used Notion while traveling , and it was so useful that I would definitely recommend it to everyone! So, I'd like to share more about it with you today!
📍 <Convenient points when planning a trip with Notion>1. You can plan together even remotely.
2. It's simple because you can centralize everything in Notion.
3. It will remain as a memory and can be used as a template next time.
How to make a travel itinerary.
Now, I'd like to introduce the contents of the travel itinerary I actually made and how to plan it .
The top is where you can make notes about places you want to go and where you can plan your schedule .

There was only one database, and I used different views for different purposes: table view when planning my schedule , gallery view when selecting places to go, etc. It's exciting to see the images lined up!
The items to note are as follows:
- Check whether you were able to go or not
- time
- Places I want to go
- Genre (travel / food / sightseeing etc.)
- area
- Google Map URL
- Websites, phone number notes, tickets, etc.
It can be a bit of a hassle to look up your next destination on Maps or search for ticket information each time you visit, so I recommend compiling it here in advance to save you the trouble of having to look it up on the day.
To make a plan, I recommend first quickly listing and writing down all the places you want to go , regardless of time or location, and then organizing them by genre or area using tags . Finally, decide on a schedule .
The bottom of the page is a space for notes on expenses incurred during the trip and places I want to visit next. I mainly used this space to write down notes while traveling.

This is where Notion came in handy.
Finally, I'd like to share some of the things I found useful when planning a trip using Notion.
1. You can plan together remotely.
Of course, it would be great to plan a trip when you are together, but it can be difficult if you can't find a block of time.
In my case, I used to make plans over the phone, but with Notion, when you share a page you can see each other's writing in real time , so it was very easy to make plans even while on the phone.
Of course, we were able to view the page on each other's smartphones on the day, so we traveled while looking at Notion, just like a travel guide.
2. It's simple because you can centralize everything in Notion.
When you're traveling, it can be a bit of a hassle to have to look up your next destination on Maps or search for tickets every time.
With Notion, you can keep everything in one place, including your schedule, Google Maps links , hotel notes , tickets , and more, which was very convenient as it saved me the trouble of having to look things up on the day!
It was kind of fun to be able to check off the places I'd been to, like a stamp rally.
3. It will remain as a memory and can be used as a template next time.
With iPhone notes or paper bookmarks, you tend to erase or lose them, but with Notion, you can keep them as memories, which is a nice feature.
When you go to the same place, you can easily plan your trip by remembering the places you missed at that time . You can also duplicate the trip and use it as a template when traveling to a different place.
Once you have more travel records, it might be fun to create a summary page and look back on them together!
