1. Simple management with the "Button" feature

The first method is task management that utilizes the simple "To-Do List" feature.

画像

To use it, simply write down tasks for each day at the beginning of the week and check the box when a task is completed. It's very simple and easy to use.

I've added a "new todo" button for each day, making it easy to add tasks. Just click the button to add a new task like this.

画像

While you can reset this to-do list every week, it's recommended to use the "Toggle" feature if you want to keep past lists.

By placing past To-Do lists inside a toggle, you can keep them compactly.

画像
Opening the toggle displays the To-Do list.

At the start of each week, you can duplicate the previous week's toggle to carry over any remaining tasks.

2. Manage tasks as a list in "Table View"

The second method is a To-Do list using the database "Table View," which allows you to see all your tasks at a glance.

画像

To use it, add a page from the database's "+ New" button and enter the task name in the title. You can also select the genre, status, and date.

画像

I've included genres such as "Work," "Private," "Habits," "Go," and "Buy." Feel free to customize them to your liking.

画像

In this To-Do list, when you check a task as completed, it automatically moves into the "Checked" group at the bottom.

This task management method makes it easy to distinguish between remaining and completed tasks.

3. Check progress with "Board View"

The third method is a To-Do list using "Board View," which allows you to check tasks by their progress using a Kanban system.

画像

To add a task, click "+ New" at the bottom of the "Not Started" board.

When the task is in progress, move it to "In Progress," and when it's completed, move it to "Completed." You can easily move tasks by dragging and dropping them.

画像

This To-Do list is characterized by its ability to display tasks not only as "Not Started" and "Completed" but also as "In Progress." It's recommended for managing tasks in projects where each task takes a long time to complete.

4. Manage with "Weekly View" in the calendar

The fourth method is a To-Do list using the "Weekly View" feature of the calendar. You can view your tasks on a weekly basis within the calendar.

画像

To use it, simply add tasks for the day by clicking the "+" (add item) button in the upper left corner of the date. If you want to move a task to tomorrow, you can easily do so by dragging and dropping the card.

画像

Also, in the adjacent tab, I've displayed filtered results for specific categories. You can view weekly tasks for just one category, such as "Habits" or "Work."

画像

5. Combine "List" and "Calendar"

Finally, there's a To-Do list that combines "List View" and "Calendar View."

On the left, you can add tasks with a simple list, and on the right, you can view tasks on a monthly calendar.

画像

You can add tasks from either the list or the calendar. If you add a task from the list, you can move the date to the calendar by dragging and dropping it.

画像

This task management method offers the best of both worlds, displaying tasks simply while also allowing you to view them on a calendar.

By the way, the ④ weekly view and ⑤ list & calendar, which utilize the calendar view, can also be linked with Notion Calendar by clicking "Open in calendar" in the upper right corner of the database.
